All our performance Assessments allow candiates to demonstrate:

  • An increase in musical knowledge / general musicianship
  • A sense of professionalism
  • Self analysis and awareness
  • The ability to overcome musical challenges
  • Developing a love and understanding of music.

Our assessments in composition / singer-songwriter aim to evaluate the candidate’s skills in compositional techniques such as:

  • Part-writing
  • Harmonic and melodic development
  • Orchestration
  • Ability to work within a developed structure
  • originality and the recognition of a
    distinctive compositional style

The assessor will be looking for originality and a distinctive compositional style.
These assessments are via portfolio only.
